A highly pathogenic H5N6 avian influenza was found on a quail farm in Nueva Ecija province, the Philippines'department of Health said Monday. Philippine ABS-CBN News Network reported that Department of Agriculture William, said the town of Jaen, new Essiha province, a farm of about 1,500 quails, H5N6 avian influenza was detected. The Ministry of Agriculture has banned the sale of quail meat and eggs within a one-kilometre radius of the farm. The Philippines was hit by an H5N6 bird flu outbreak in 2017 that killed about 200,000 birds in Pampanga.
