非高手不能解

90% of the time, when i boot up windows, as it goes to the
desktop, but no desktop icons are shown neither any system tray icons, this happens for 1 - 2 mins.

i have

checked msconfig and removed some unnecessary startup processes that i know.

checked for viruses and spyware.

doubled the memory.

so i am afraid that only 高手 can help me fix this problem.

正是因為你刪掉了你認為是多餘的東西，才會這樣。

Ctrl+Alt+Del    文件--新建任務項---填入： explorer.exe

恢復「服務」的默認設置（去除不必要的），或乾脆恢復系統。

It sounds like the profile crashed, try to create a new account ( new user name).log in windows by using the new account you created.

it could be your antivirus software was running.
but I suspect that it's still because of the start up programs.
Run --> "regedit" --> current user --> software --> microsoft --> windows --> current version --> run

and

Run --> "regedit" --> local machine --> software --> microsoft --> windows --> current version --> run

check if there are any keys placed in this two places in the registry that you don't need.
also check start menu --> programs --> Startup.
