Abstract
This article discusses in detail the design, analytical technique, and implementation of a "Laboratory Examination Management System," in connection with the practical situation of the Center for Product Quality Supervision and Inspection as administered by Fushun municipal government. A detailed survey of the examination processes used in the laboratory was conducted, upon which in-depth analysis and careful optimization were performed while being aware of the existing management practices. Object-oriented software design techniques were used in the overall system design and implementation. A popular implementation model was adopted for the system, and application database theory and object-oriented knowledge technique were emphasized in the implementation. In developing the system, priority was given to the system analysis capacity, the system structure optimization, and the functionality realization. Particularly, in software implementation, procedure stability and user-interface utility were emphasized. This system satisfies the customer requirements in usability and performance. This system is stable, maintainable, and data-secure. It can help improve the product quality examinations performed in the laboratory and the services provided to the customers by the laboratory.
