well, for some who work for DoD/NSA, it matters their jobs. those who are in charge usually are hired "experts" and they got paid very well. yes, they are experts per se, but not exactly "experts" in terms of skills. they have a certain levels of knowledge/expertise/skills, but due to the nature of their positions, due to the nature of the security technologies, their knowledge of security might not be up to date, or worse, for some, they are simply talkers with big buzz words. so they tend to exaggerate the situations, or create fears so that they are so important that they are very needed...
the bottom line, for their job security... |
