BEIJING (Dow Jones)--China's producer price index fell 6.6% in April from a year earlier, marking its fifth straight month of steepening declines, data issued Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics showed.
April's decrease widened from March's 6% decline, and was wider than the median 6.5% decline forecast in a Dow Jones Newswires survey of 16 economists.
