Situation 1           It slipped my mind

A:Oh, dear!
B:What's wrong?
A:I was supposed to call Jim at six.
B:Why didn't you?
A:I was busy and it slippend my mind.
B:Why don't you call him now?

A:Bob, did you bring my book?
B:Oh, I'm sorry. It slipped my mind.
A:You shouldn't be so forgetful.
B:I know, but I've been so busy lately.
Aid you forget your book, too?
B:No, that didn't slip my mind. It's right here.

A:John, you're late again.
B:I'm sorry I overslept.
A:I told you to get a new alarm clock.
B:I was busy yesterday and it slipped my mind.
A:You could at least have arranged for a weak-up call.
B:I didn't think of that.

A:You were supposed to call me at six.
B:I know, but it slipped my mind.

A:Why don't you mail that letter?
B:Oh, It slipped my mind.

A:Why don't you remind to get gas?
B:I am sorry,it slipped my mind.

A:Why didn't you tell me John called?
B:I was in a hurry and forgot about it.

A:Is it difficult to learn to play checkers?
B:No, even a child could do it.

A:Did you have any problem repairing the car?
B:No, it was simple.

A:What happend to Joe's gas station?
B:He's gone out of business.
A:Why is that?
B:Everybody in Buffalo is going to Canada to fill up his tank.
A:That's too bad. What about your station?
B:It's the same for me. I'll have to go out of business before too long.

A:That's a good looking suit.
B:Thanks. I got it at a good price too.
A:Oh, where?
B:That men's shop in the mall.
Ao they have other things on sale?
B:Everything's on sale. They're going out of business.

A:Joe got a pink slip today.
B:Wow! That's too bad.
