捐款

經常有些學生自己或是由家長帶領敲門要求捐款或贊助．他們有的是說湊學費，有的說為了學校的郊遊，有的讓你給多些錢買他的糖，有的讓你定些什麼報紙等等，形式各異．真不知是怎麼回事？美國學校真的會讓學生上門拉贊助要捐款嗎？還是他們自己要的？有人遇到過這種事嗎？誰知是怎麼回事嗎？謝謝！

It's called fund raiser and every school does that to raise money for the band, sport teams, new library books, and feild trips.

不是法定的可以拒絕

As usual, US school grants awarded yearly by local governments are not enough to support them for their educational purpose. Every school does its fund-raising through different channels. To our family, we have to spend a few hundred dollars to support our children's schools or classes for their fund raising campaigns every year. We are part of the society and their successes will help our children succeed in their career and lives. We also do that for our friends, coworkers or neighbors' children at times. However, we need to watch out where our money goes.

澳大利亞學校也是這樣,特校別是公校,私校不太有這種事,就是有也是學生自己組織的活動,和PARENT無關.
