　　塞斯（尼可拉斯凱吉飾）是一各充滿好奇的天使，他被上帝派駐在洛杉磯，專門護送垂死的病人上天堂。而在當地醫院中從事心臟科手術的醫生瑪姬（梅格萊恩飾）卻成日在手術台上幫助病人與死神交戰。因為職業的衝突，天使注意到了這個美麗、自信的女醫生。  

　　有一天她在進行手術時，一名病人突然暴斃於她手中，當塞斯前來護送病人上路時，卻發現了瑪姬的脆弱。瑪姬無法釋懷如此打擊，頓時對一切失去信心，天使情不自禁的想要伸出援手，幫助這個令他心動的女人。於是，塞斯冒著極大的危險，毅然在瑪姬面前現身。他從一名虛無飄緲的天使，變成一個神秘的陌客， 一嘗他嚮往已久卻只能袖手旁觀的凡人生活。  

　　當他們相遇后，瑪姬也喜歡上溫柔體貼的塞斯，可是她對這名沒有過去的男人感到十分懷疑，但卻又無法抵抗他的魅力，瑪姬因此感到困惑、害怕。而與此同時塞斯也發現自己無法真正進入凡人的世界，體會凡人的觸摸、感官而無奈沮喪。但他深愛著瑪姬，渴望分享她生活的點滴，於是他對上帝提出要求，那就放棄天使的身份，成為一個真實的凡人，會飢餓、會疼痛、會流淚。為了愛情，他寧願用在天堂里億萬年的永生，換取人間短暫卻甜蜜的生活。  

　　但是，天使歷經磨難之後終於成為凡人，然而他深愛的女人的天使卻在命運的安排下死去，完美的愛情，終歸是不存在的。願望有時是無法實現的，即使是一個天使的願望……

　　Sarah Mclachlan舒緩的嗓音，行雲流水般的鋼琴聲，宛如一股清泉從聽者心中流淌而過，撫慰著你所有源於過去的傷痛與苦楚。當你閉上疲憊的雙眼，在靜夜裡聆聽這首歌，你能看到天使在夜空中緩緩飄過。當它消逝之時，淡淡傷感中綻放的美麗與這首歌一起已在你心中烙下了難以磨滅的印記。

電影和歌曲都喜歡，呵呵

呵呵，謝謝小兔子，我努力找影版的MV，可惜總是尋不到。
某一年在央視播放的節日中看過：SARAL琴前獨坐，Nicolas Cage 的天使憂鬱溫暖。情節與歌聲交織，迷幻的世界給人一種淡淡的不可割捨的溫情。
一直喜歡，這麼多年了，還是喜歡。

那個電影的配樂有好幾首都很好聽,整個就拿它當MV看的,

...

MEG在那部戲里的美感達到她個人的頂峰,儘管戲本身還是比不上她的成名作,但已經是很不錯了.可惜她選片水平有限,這後來真是一年不如一年
