在網上無意中找到台灣李敖譯的Danny Boy，覺的不錯，很有意境，和大家分享：

　　愛爾蘭民歌《丹尼少年》（Danny Boy），是我生平最喜歡的一首歌。歌中寫情人在生死線外，幽明永隔，死者不已，生者含悲，纏綿凄涼，令人難忘。尤其聽到湯姆瓊斯的變調唱法，更把它唱得多情感人。
　　我一直想把這首歌譯成中文，但是遷就用韻，未能如願。一年前我試譯了一半，還沒譯完，就入獄了。今天上午整理舊稿，發現了這一半譯文，決心把它譯完。花了一個半小時，用直譯意譯混合法，居然把它譯成了。
  　DANNY BOY
　　Oh DannyBoy，the pipes，the pipes are calling
　　From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
　　The summer's gone, and all the roses are falling

　　[附記]）照愛爾蘭民歌的原始意味，這首歌是寫父子之情，Danny Boy最後尋找到的，是父子之愛。我這裡意譯，當然別有所延伸，特此聲明如上。
