A Horrible Experience

It was Mar 29, Tuesday. It was a horrible experience for me.

That day as usual I was happy to see my husband to pick me up from work. To my surprise, I found my son, Jackie, was in the car. My son will be 3 in this May. He goes to day care weekdays. I thought my husband picked him up earlier that day. No, my son didn』t go to Day care at all. My husband told me that Jackie was sick and had a little bit temperature. But he didn』t take any medicine. When I got on the car, I asked my son, 「 Jackie, are you ok?」 answered my son,」 No, I am not ok, I am sick, mom.」 I felt a little bit sad. I touched his forehead, and it was not that hot. He was so quiet in the car. I knew something really wrong with him because he is very active when he is fine.

After home, about 5:30pm, he was so tired and fell sleep in my arm. I hold him when he was sleeping, all the sudden, I saw my son』s face muscle jump up and down, in the beginning I thought my son had a nightmare and something scared him. No, it wasn』t. I noted that his hands, legs, and tummy, everywhere jump up and down. Some white stuff came out from his mouth. I called him, no response. Oh, my gosh, what happened? I screamed to my husband and asked him to call 911. Meanwhile, I noticed that my son』s hands and legs stiff`. The person who picked the phone told us to lay my son side and observed whether he was breathing or not. And she asked what happened, my husband yelled over the phone, and angry that she asked too many question, at that moment we only needed an ambulance.

Fortunately, the Ambulance came in 5 minutes. The officer took some test and his temperature; his temperature was not so high- only 39-Celsius degree. At last my son woke up and he looked so pale and weak. Then we went to the hospital for sick kids with the ambulance. After we saw a doctor, he told me it happened when kids have a fever; especially the temperature goes too high suddenly. I can tell my son was fine when we were in the hospital because he even asked me for chips.

I am still in a big puzzle about this matter. What if this happens next time? What do we do to prevent this?

It is likely I will have baby soon, I hope I can take good care of my kids.

as a parents, we will need to learn as we go through...

For me... my sons started to has nose bleeding when he was abt 1yrs plus.  I can't recall.  
It was so scary.  

Slowly, I realise that his body is too heaty.  Hence, I need to watch out on what he eat and need to make sure that he drink a lot of drink.  

Sometime I can feel his body heat, and will quicky make him drink as much water as he can.  

Child usually don't like to drink water especially those plain water.  It's really have a hard time to ask him when he refused to.
