I didn't do the second para for a couple of reasons:
- I'm not a translators and don't enjoy translating. Especially, poetry is way beyond me and I may make a fool of myself by touching that subject
- I don't like the  of the second para - it's illogical and pompous.
  However, since you asked, I'll give it a shot.

Poem was Liang』s life-long passion. His theories on poem, and his critiques based on these theories, germinated from the evolving new poetic genre in China, and bloomed into the highest achievements in Chinese poetry of the 1920s and 1930s. He gathered the quintessential symbolism from the West, cross-fertilized it with the most elegant in the traditional art form, and developed the purist theory epitomizing symbolism, transcendentalism and consciousness. This thesis begins with 「purist poetry」 and focuses on poetry』s essence, , creation and critique. Against the Chinese and Western cultural settings, attempts will be made to explore and appreciate what is uniquely Zongdai Liang.

Thank you, Elex! I like it so much that actually I showed it around to a few friends this afternoon. They all loved it. The praise came with heartfelt words just as good as one could get! A closer look into the translations I see a familiar thing once again: you did not map words but concentrated on conveying the ideas with appropriate expressions. The result is a very readable English text that to put in my own words would be like to taste the pieces of fruit taken from near the "sweet spot" of a fruit plate. Since the Chinese language uses different rules in picking and arranging "fruit pieces," there is no guarantee that a micro-mapping will leave the result as close to the desired sweet spot as one would like it to. The emphasis to be made here is that to learn a word needs more than just remembering it as one entry in a long list of new words.
