美國《時代》周刊公布了歷史上最偉大的100部影片名單，陳凱歌執導的《霸王別姬》
榜上有名。

王家衛執導的《重慶森林》、胡金銓1971年拍攝的武俠經典片《俠女》、成龍與劉
家良首度合作的《醉拳2》等也在名單中。

和《現代啟示錄》等都沒有進入這份名單，而《海底總動員》《星球大戰》和《上
帝之城》等商業影片卻入榜，引起了一些爭議。對此，席克爾表示：「我並不認為任
何人都應該說『這就是最終的100部影片，永遠也毫無爭議』。因為事物在變化，生活
在變化，我們每個人也在變化。對有些影片，我和科利斯兩人意見也不一樣，因此
名單是妥協的結果。」

For Simone, 《西蒙尼》or 《瑟蒙》?

One Chinese randition for the title of an American movie, Simone, is 《西蒙尼》.  Why is that?  尼 is not in the English pronunciation, perhaps in French pronunciation. But it is an American film. Isn't it?

To avoid using the word "translation" too many times, I use "rendition" from time to time.  But Sometimes I misspelled the word as "randition" .  From now on, I would stick to  "translation".

In the list posted above, Ben-Hur's Chinese title is 賓墟.  This is Hong Kong's version, I think.  Why 賓墟? Does it sounds like Ben-Hur in Contonese?

Plot Summary

Plot Synopsis: A woman inherits her father's fireworks factory, as he had no son. The business does well and everything works in an orderly fashion until one day, an itinerant painter is hired to decorate the doors and vases at the factory. The woman, forbidden to marry and thereby involve outsiders in the factory ownership, finds herself drawn to the headstrong painter. When they fall in love, the situation throws her entire life into disarray.

Niu Bao (Wu Gang), a talented but immature artist, is hired by the heir of a fireworks empire to restore paintings in the family's grand factory-compound.
