People put real effort into their appearance and the fashions were designed to flatter the male and female form. That's why all of my own clothing is 1930s to 1950s inspired. My grandmothers never left the house without a hat, gloves and handbag, and my grandfathers never left the house without shaving, changing into a clean, collared shirt, and dress pants. The fashions of mid last century had an elegance that's truly timeless.
Not only the clothes, the music too. Nowadays people dress like idiots, behave like it and listen to music made for idiots. The world shoud've ended in the 80's.
