hmmm, then i am wondering how the united states of america got its independence from then british empire. as far as i can remember, it didn't come through "democratic election":
Oh, say! can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming;
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there:
Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
..
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution!
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
...
brits still keep the island of malvinas, even argentina is considered as "democracy" and was a model for "democracy for third world countries" (until it declared bankruptcy as a country)).
so many years, with education and life in the states, i learned one thing: never judge the book by the cover.
no matter what you losers trying to sell the pills labeled "民主", "愛國", "良知" ... i will examine the contents behind those labels, i will comb through the details...
yes, the details will show the true colors of your pathetic losers...
