並頭聯句，交頸論文，宮中應制，歷使屬國，皆極人間樂事。
（狄）立人曰：既已並頭交頸，即欲聯句論文，恐亦有所不暇。
（汪）舟次曰：歷使屬國，殊不易易。
（孫）松坪曰：邯鄲舊夢，對此惘然。
竹坡曰：並頭交頸樂事也，聯句論文亦樂事也，是以兩樂並為一樂者，則當以兩夜並一夜方妙，然其樂一刻，勝於一日矣。
（沈）契掌曰：恐天亦見妒。

Some of the greatest joys of life are: to discuss literature with a friend, to compose together tête-à-tête a poem by providing alternate lines, to sit at the palace examinations, and to be sent abroad as a diplomat to our country』s dependencies.
Lijen: In a tête-à-tête, one may have no time for discussing literature or writing joint poems.
Choutze: To be sent abroad as a diplomat is not easy.
Sungping: There is no harm in dreaming.
Chupo: To have friends alone with you and at the same time discuss literature or write poems may be too much of a good thing.
Chichang: Even the gods will be envious.
