If earthquakes can not be predicted, why did those officials say there would be no earthquakes in that area before the disaster? By saying no earthquakes, they were actually making a prediction that earthquakes were not going to happen. How did they know that if earthquakes are not predictable? If we don』t know when earthquakes are going to happen in potential areas please don』t tell people earthquakes are not going to happen either because we don』t know. We need honestly to tell local people about what we know and what we don』t know.
