Denton 的這段話並不意味著他支持進化論,「We agree that self-organizing systems may be fine-tuned by selection and that self-organization may be therefore considered a complementary mechanism to natural selection as a causal agency in the evolution of life. But we argue that if self-organization proves to be a common mechanism for the generation of adaptive order from the molecular to 。。。」。
他用了好幾個"may be(可能)" 解釋了"self-organizing systems" 有自我調節的可能性。而他提出了"self-organizing systems" 是對達爾文進化論的否定.
很多生物雜誌是被進化論者統治的,發表文章不可能全然否定進化論,否則就會被刪掉。Denton在文章結尾說的major pathway of evolution are by...the self-organizing properties of biometter,是告訴編者:看見沒有,我並沒有否定進化論吧?
Denton是生物醫學家,他對智惠設計intellegent design 也有一定的貢獻。
