ok, now something different. $20 something.
honestly i don't think it is applicable rule besides the possibility of privacy issue. we can somehow deliver the messages to the government. sending emails to chinese embassies around the world and seeking better solutions. you all know how chinese government doing things; clumsy is the best word for it.
the positive side of this incident is that finally, i meant finally the government start waking up and realizes it could be biggest disaster of china if we don't deal with it seriously. chinese, in china, or overseas, don't think they have anything to do with hiv. we, average chinese, more or less are all guilty of that.
i was in zambia and i knew personally one chinese infected by hiv for daing a local girl (she was half black and half white), well, he went back china and wait for his time. interestingly, most of chinese there (peasants) think he was unlucky one. one guy said he bought services from hookers quite a few times and he had no problems (yeah, right, like he would know).
even with that, every chinese i met there has the same attitude, "hiv, gotta nothing to do with us"... one of my friends in china has sex with hookers regularly (he is single) and never use condoms. his theory is: well, i get myself cleaned up every time. so no worries.
i am glad that chinese government is doing something, even it is clumsy and somehow is a disaster for public relation. at least it is taking actions. i think we should help it to find better ways instead just feeling angry or complaining. |
