I have to point one thing: who should be the one to blame? The guy or the girl. Obviously this is an entrapment and the girl and the family set this up to deceive the boy so to prosper and benefit themselves. On top of that, she has an ongoing relationship with another married man while she is trying to marry that Canadian poor man. We can say the canadian guy is naive and too quick to rush into marriage, but he did nothing ethically wrong. You cannot say that for the girl, can you?
We cannot punish both the same way because the severity of the crime is different. She is obviously the mean and the vicious and she should take the most blame.
I disagree with those posts stating that it is shameful to disclose to the public so to humiliate her. Bitches (sorry for my french) like her needs to be exposed and all of those naive boys and girls out there need to be warned.
Also, if you think that you can take advange of other people just because they are not smart enough, and they should take whatever you can throw at them just because he or she is an adult and should take full responsiblity of his or her life, you just missed a major point: though the line has been blurred from time to time, there still is what is wrong and what is right! If one has done something that is wrong, he or she should be the one be blamed and exposed and he or she should take whatever consequence that ensues.
In criminal law, we punish cheaters, we don't punish their victems. |
