in the states, the treason is a crime punishable by death if convicted. you can talk about it, but if you ever put in action, the laws of the country will be on your neck.
in the states, swore in as a citizen means you pledge the loyalty to the constitution of the united states of america; not to a particular administration, not to the particular governing body.
it is the duty of the citizens to defend the united states of america. no, not necessarily joining military services. one must be clear that in peace time, joining the services is a career pf choice. but in the time of war, every citizen could be conscripted and it is YOUR duty to respond the calls.
the same logic, i would have no problems to see him hanging high on the pole if he is convicted as treason in the time of wars. it is the same in the states, it should be the same in china...

you can't change the constitution, the government, but you can change the administration through a process called voting.
