Not God does "acceptance" for us, but the acceptance is done after God saved us.
Our acceptance is consequence of God's saving, not the key processing step in the salvation. Our acceptance is a pleasing will of ourselves, that is the indicator we have already been saved.
The reason we some times overemphasize our acceptance is that this is our first action responding to God's salvation work. However, at this moment, God has already finished His work saving us.
To understand salvation, again, is to understand God and His work. Salvation is fully His work and from divine will of God.
Sometime I repeat those bases, not meant bother having misunderstanging, but serving as a reminder, especially for myself.
