rich or poor, it is all relative... the way you think and how to you feel, it is most important.
the rich were poor and were the successfull... most of the rich was not born rich, in particular, to those who was caming out of mainland china... (oh, recenly there were a change).
to become rich ( in relative), you got to make money faster than your consumption. inearly stage you just got to work really hard... otherwise you got to take thre real risk... (a lot of the damage of the risk is not reversabla.); Have a look those experienced Long March, Mao zhe Dong did not even have a quality offspring...
becoming rich is a process of fund raising activity, do not have to be tough to others ( like poor); in fact, most of the rich are very nice people, only those accidentally got rich will be very silly to bother argue with the poor for few dollars wages per hour. reason is simple, if you are a good employee, why bother to make you angry, if you can share the workload for the employer ( who migh be the worker too), and really perfome in your post.. why bother!
