Long long ago, a Bodhisattva spreaded out her jade-coloured skirt,
varied it into a whole lake of green crystal water.
But all of this wasn』t her expectant works of art,
then she cast jade necklace into the lake apart.
As breeze blowing, thousand islands seem as floating green lazurite.
In sunset shining, a whole lake looks like rippling red agate.
Such scenery attracted me coming by a brisking boat.
The elegant scenery wet my blue coat and beat my heart.
西潭攜友賞荷
贈君一塘芙蓉影，再加十里涼荷風。
寂寂天涯憑誰問，耿耿此心有君聽。
雪藕入泥真忍辱，清荷出水素無塵。
半生辛勤且放下，暫聽碧葉搖西風。
Enjoying Lotus with a Friend in Xitan
Dear friend, send you a whole pond of lotus shadow,
besides, add ten miles of lotus smell to you.
In this remote corner, who would concern where I solo go?
Except you, who could know what I persistently do?
Enduring the dirt in mire, the snowy roots silently grow.
Blooming out of the water, icy lotus is quietly pure.
Put down all the painstaking in half lifetime we past through.
Please listen to the lively whistle in trees as winds blow.
西潭春晚
雲容天凈起海頭，冰河漸開溪細流。
紅蓼褪盡青蘆長，白雪消半綠鴛游。
日落林表千層秀，月照春波一潭幽。
滿懷心事何人訴，夜涼春鳥鳴啁啾。
Spring Evening in Xitan
Leisurely clouds are floating to the end of sky and sea.
Frozen river just thaws it flows in a narrow way.
Red knotweeds fall away but reeds are just green.
White snow is thawing and swimming ducks are so free.
On treetops, sunset spreads overlaps of graceful ray.
In moonlight, a whole pond appears quiet and pale.
So many worries in my heart, who can I say?
In cool evening, spring birds are crying from where they stay.
