Two documentary makers have exposed how easy it is for athletes to obtain performance enhancing drugs in Beijing, just days out from the start of the Olympics.
在幾天後奧運會就要開幕的時候,兩名紀錄片攝影師揭秘在北京運動員是多麼容易獲得興奮劑。
Footage aired on A Current Affair shows filmmakers Rob Punton and Huw Roberts being supplied with human growth hormone from a Chinese hospital less than 5km from the athlete's village. Posing as an athlete, Punton is filmed buying steroids and then being injected with the drugs by a nurse.
After conducting a six-month investigation on the culture of drug taking in China, Roberts said China has a poor track record when it comes to performance enhancing drugs. "From 1990 though to about 2003 they failed more drug tests than anyone else," he said. "The interesting thing is China hasn't failed many drug tests in the last couple of years, so they've either cleaned up their act or they are hiding something."
It is likely doping amongst athletes will be rife at the Beijing games, Punton said. "The problem is because testing is so poor we are not going to know the majority of cheats because there are clear ways of getting around all the tests."
This infamous footage of a massive Chinese swimmer exiting the pool in Perth shocked the sporting community. She was later exposed as a drug cheat.

視頻中還展示了中國游泳女運動員的形象加以「佐證」。
視頻網頁上還補充了這張照片加以說明。
Ten years ago, Chinese cheaters were caught on Aussie soil when four swimmers failed tests before the world championships in Perth. Yuan Yuan was nabbed with 13 vials of growth hormone.
十年前,中國的騙子在澳大利亞的領土上被抓獲,當時四名游泳運動員在佩斯世界游泳錦標賽前的葯檢上呈陽性。原媛攜帶13小瓶生長激素被抓。
