ONTARIO, Calif. ― A Christian school expelled a 14-year-old student because her parents are lesbians, the school''s superintendent said in a letter.
Shay Clark was expelled from Ontario Christian School on Thursday.
"Your family does not meet the policies of admission," Superintendent Leonard Stob wrote to Tina Clark, Shay''s biological mother.
The school''s policy states that at least one parent cannot engage in practices "immoral or inconsistent with a positive Christian life such as cohabitating without marriage or in a homosexual relationship," Stob wrote.
Shay and her parents said they will not fight the ruling. Shay will attend public school next week.
she can attend a public school. it will be good for both. the christian school needs not to alter its policies and Shay can study in a more relaxed environment.
Actually if her mother is guilty, after all it's her mother, not the girl, so the mother should be punished not the girl. It is unfair to the girl. Why is the society so cruel to the innocent people? if possible, the society should ask people whoever do the "wrong" things to take his or her resposiblities of her or his "bad behavior". Please give more care to those innocent people, especially children.
"because her parents are lesbians, ..."
"...wrote to Tina Clark, Shay's biological mother."
this seems to me as a case of a woman that she divorced with her husband after having her daughter Shay and then formed a new family with another woman.
