Throughout Season 8 of "Doctor Who" it was rumored that Jenna Coleman was preparing to exit the series. In the end it never came to pass, but showrunner Steven Moffat is finally setting the record straight。《神秘博士》第八季一直有傳言說Jenna Coleman她有可能會離開劇組。不過到最後這個傳言也沒有城鎮，不過最近《神秘博士》製片人Steven Moffat終於跟大家分享了這個消息。
　　In an interview with Doctor Who Magazine, via Radio Times, he reveals Coleman was originally going to leave during the Season 8 finale, "Death in Heaven." 據《Radio Times》報道，在接受《神秘博士》雜誌採訪時，Moffat透露Coleman本來是要在第八季結局的時候「死在天堂」的。
　　"That was her last episode," Moffat says. "And then she asked me if she could be in Christmas? So I said, 'Okay, I'll write you out in Christmas.' She came to the read-through and did the 'write out' version -- and again changed her mind."「本來那是她的最後一集，」Moffat說。「後來她問我，可不可以讓她參與聖誕特輯？然後我說『可以呀，我會讓你在聖誕那一集離開。』然後我就寫了一版她離開的劇本——然後再一次她改變了我的想法。」
That's twice Coleman nearly left the series before changing her mind at the last minute. Luckily, Moffat was pleased she had second thoughts. "The truth is I never wanted her to go. I didn't really want 'Death in Heaven' to be her last episode," he says.
