美國網民熱議習總吃包子
美國許多媒體刊登了習總吃包子的報道和一組照片。雅虎的報道很快跟了數百條帖子。
雖然有少數幾條牽涉到不和諧的內容，比如希望習總跟劉某分享包子，但多數評論是肯
定的。特選擇翻譯數條。
哪一個是習主席？照片里每個人看起來都差不多。（Which one is the president
? Everybody looks alike in the picture??）
中國領導人作秀並致力於民眾交際，不錯。可是，為什麼這成了美國的新聞？除非
中共付雅虎很多錢來發表它。（Good that Chinese leader showing and working on
people diplomacy, but why this become American news unless the CCP paid
yahoo big sum of money to posted it. ）
就像奧巴馬和拜登順路在漢堡包店停留。（Like Obama and Biden stopping by a
burger joint. ）

可能他看到羅馬天主教皇弗朗西斯的92%的支持率，決定仿效他。（Maybe he saw
the 92% approval rating among Catholics of Pope Francis and decided to
emulate him. ）
那只是作秀。跟以往的領導人不同，習正在迅速地學習西方的政治領導人，用照片
和聯繫民眾的形象來提升自己的形象，以左右中國選民的意向。在過去的50年，絕大多
數的美國政治家都是這麼做的。那是一種古老的政治把戲。（It was only for the
show. Unlike other Chinese leaders in the past, Xi is learning fast from
their western political leaders, to enhance his own image by photo-up and
public relation images trying to manipulate the opinion of Chinese voters.
Most US politicians have been doing that for the past 50 years. It is an old
political trick! ）

who runs the country that now owns our economy, show him some respect. ）

習近平繼續強化掌控他的權力，但他不斷給人一個好人的印象。中國人正在重塑某
些重要的「品牌形象」。（Xi Jinping keeps tightening his hold on power but he
keeps coming off as a nice guy. The Chinese are doing some major image re-
branding. ）
我只是祈禱和希望習近平是中國的另一位戈爾巴喬夫。（I just pray and hope
Mr. Xi Jinping is another Mikhail Gorbachev of China. ）

also sends a message to other party officials that they need to act more
like Xi if they want things to go smoothly. ）

面的機會。可能中國人正在學習新的社交技能，以提高在世界上的社會地位。（
Refreshing! US leaders sometimes do this and get great press coverage and a
chance to meet regular people. Maybe the Chinese are learning new social
skills to augment their social standing in the world.）
好極了！很高興看到曾經在農村服務過的中國主席習近平，經常真誠地出入於民眾
之中，為民眾工作，並為民眾推動改革。謹表美好的祝願。（Wonderful! Good to see
Chinese President Xi, who used to serve in the village, to often sincerely
go and come closer among the people, work for the people, and push new
reform for the people. Best wish.）
我已經在北京居住了數年，已走遍全國。我能確定民眾對習近平和他妻子的真心的
熱愛和尊敬。他是人民的主席，所有中國人民的主席。（I have lived in Beijing
for a few years and have traveled China far and wide. I can confirm the real
love and respect people have for President Xi and his wife. He is peoples
President, all Chinese people.）
