Chinese religion is primarily composed of four main traditions: Chinese folk religion, Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. The religious outlook of most Chinese people consists of some combination of beliefs and practices from these four traditions.
So I guess whoever is religious, but doesn't believe in the same things you do, gets punished?
Personally, I believe there is a higher power. However, I don't judge those who don't agree with that belief and it's quite a turnoff to run into those who do.

uninsured-most people will not take heed. I for one am a believer! We are not gods and can not determine what will or will not be. There is only one God and he is the only one who knows what will be. I pray for us all. No need to send US money to China, they already have most of it!

What is going on with all these earthquakes?. Something is not right, it cannot be coincidence that so many quakes have been occurring so frequently, not to mention volcanic activity as well!. Now, I'm not saying this is a prelude to the end of the world, but I find it odd that no geological scientist or agencies have addressed these quakes and volcanic eruptions, by providing answers as to why are they occurring with such frequency!.

I have heard two sides to this debate:
1. Some say that earthquakes are increasing.
2. Others say that we have the same amount of earthquakes, but they are just occurring in populated areas where we pay attention to them.
I don't know which is correct - maybe both.
However, Monkey Bussiness' post, above, claims to link the increase in earthquakes to our magnetic field, then couldn't it just be the sun?
Our sun is just entering its average 11.2 year cycle of increased sunspot/solar flare activity. The last time solar storms hit earth was in 2001. When C.M.E.s hit our atmosphere, they disrupt the magnetic field, among other things.
If the "health" of our magnetic field influences earthquakes on the planet, we may have our answer, here.
It winds up being a whole chain reaction.

Huh? An X-Class solar flare spouted off about 2323 UT. Any connection? The influx of extra energy in our atmosphere will most likely have a profound effect in some way.
Also, I believe I read somwhere that before some earthquakes there can be a large amount of gas expelled (underwater) - maybe this explains the fish kill.
God or Mother Earth - Either way I am expecting stormy weather ahead.

Crystal 5,
Interesting idea.
Yet, another part of the chain reaction that is a result of increased solar flare activity: fish kill.
Could it also be a result of flocks of birds dropping dead out of the skies?
Can gases escape on land and rise up just when a flock is flying overhead?
There may be something to this.

To uninsured, who writes in part: "for those non believers ..you WILL bow down.."
Why would a god want us to? Do you make your own children worship you?
I suggest you let us know what you look like in your profile so we can see you coming. And turn off the bold. Duh.

Just maybe we make the sin and the punishment ourselves here, we know more about the earth, geology, weather and natural disasters more now then we ever knew. Then we build and pollute like we know nothing, then when something happens which is inevitable, especially considering our behavior, we blame God. What if God had nothing to do with it and we had everything to do with it.

I feel for these poor people whom have been hit yet again by mother nature... Although I do have to agree, we cannot keep sending our money to all these places around the world when we here in the states need that money as well!!!!! I feel that our government needs to start looking in our own back yard to all the homeless people and those whom are being hit so hard in our economic ruin.... We are finding ourselves in a really bad situation here.... Alot of people have had to sell their homes and move into really bad living situations or on the streets because we simply cannot afford to live in this time of need.... Our people are losing jobs and their homes and our government is not even taking a second look at this problem.... I feel that we should be getting the help here before it's being sent else where at this point.....

It's a conspiracy perpetrated by the AARP to bring all of the religious nut jobs out of the closet. We old people need to keep ourselves amused as well. But 22 people out of 7 billion? I am really broke up about it. What about Mother Earth? Over populated with the human animal by 6.9 billion. Wake me up when the 10.0 quake hits California. Since we don't seem to be getting anymore be-headings in Mexico, its boring around here.
