why I felt that most of these photos are not clear enough? Your zoom issue, teleconvertor or focusing issue?
Did you process 1 and 6 with software or just simply turned the zoom when taking these shots?
I would like 1 and 6 more if 1 the man's face did not be blocked and focused more precisely (it's hard if you were turning the zoom to get this effect) and if 6 was better focused.
Thanks for these posting. Nice job!
Thanks for your comment.
I'm also considering buying a 1.4x. But I did not expect it would have extra focusing problem. I only heard that the focusing would be slower with a teleconverter in some cases.
Have you ever tried different brands of teleconverters? Which one is better? Nikon's are more expensive than Sigma's . I'm wondering if there are any more fundamental benefits from a Nikon's.
Thanks again.
Nikon's will be better. I have another 1.4 extender made by Kenko which is always in my camera bag. Because Kenko can be used for all of lens and get auto focusing.
I think they are good for 2.8 lens only... Anyhow, I use the extender rarely...
I'm eyeing on Kenko 1.4X pro version. Nikon ones are not only expensive but will also not fully function with lots of its on lenses (except the real pro ones). You will lose auto focus if you put one on your 70-300mm. On the other hand, kenko ones will work even on the cheap lenses with maximal aperture of 5.6 per people's review.

Thanks! I haven't looked into Kenko's. I'll do some homework.

Great recommendation. I didn't expect Nikon's teleconverter would not work on its own lens. What a mess!
Thanks a lot!
