examples of using translation software
the translation software used by "dictionary.com" was BABEL FISH (see http://babelfish.altavista.com)
although no artificial intelligence is intelligent enough to produce sound chinese from english, some do give a good starting point for our translation work. one well known advantage of these popular translation software is the availability of a huge amount of pre-stored human-translated contents such as idioms and set phrases and technical terms.
in the following, i will show you two examples of how these smart software work. the first is an english to chinese translation with the english text written by myself. you can see how fantastic the result is!
the second is a chinese to english translation with the original chinese text an abstract of a college graduation-design paper. it is done by BABEL FISH. since the machine has provided all the technical terms i need, the remaining editing work will be a piece of cake!

However, you may make use of this disadvantage to learn to write sentences with rigorous grammar.
