as a frequent visitor to this forum myself, i can understand your frustrations. the forum has been less active in online interactions between visitors for a while. why not you give it a try such as to start up with a new topic good for chatting and, mmh, debating, and let others join you? i highly think this is doable.

Oh I see, somehow from that 學外語的五大忌諱 msg, u guys seems like having an argument of just a word TABOO.

mmh, you think there was an argument about "taboo." i'd rather think it as a cry for a new format of web-presence: missing the old days when friends were talking online here at this forum.
