Partially agree
I have to say that i partially agree with that kind of feeling of bing lost after living abroad for a few years. To me, it is because the fact that things in China have been changing so fast economically. The fact is that something in the culture that has been adapting a lot of the pop culture, esp. American and Japanese sort of pop culture.
Another thing is that the lost feeling derives from the fact that lots of Chinese still think that only going abroad can make them glow, yeah, glow, on the surface, but not anything fundamental, maybe sometimes not even glow anywhere! How many Chinese have spent all their bloody money on trying to get abroad and never been able to pay it back to whoever they borrowed money from!
I say that nowadays, if anyone has enough money, go on a trip to a country that you like and see how things are like, what the culture is like, and take the rest of your money back to China, you are not going to make a lot of money out there if you are not the kind of people that would be able to make money anyways!
Anyway, I do share the same kind of lost feeling with you! |
