PROGRAM MANAGER
CAIS Institute, an affiliate of the Chinese American International School the nation』s first Mandarin Immersion school, is looking for a Program Manager to further its mission of advancing Chinese language and culture nationwide. www.CAISinstitute. org
Passionate about Chinese education in the US? This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in program management who is ready to drive our programming to the next level. CAIS Institute seeks to advance the teaching and learning of Chinese language and culture; we do this by developing and implementing hands-on professional development for the field of Chinese education. In addition to 「live」 training programs, CAIS Institute has recently launched its newest online product, www.TheMandarinCent er.org, which serves as a unifying platform that brings the Chinese education community together. The combination of our history, quality programming, and passion for the teaching and learning of Chinese drives our performance and success.
This position is responsible for the successful execution of a variety of Institute programming. CAIS Institute was the first organization to host a national conference for Chinese language teachers in 2007. In this role, you will be responsible for executing the 4th Annual Chinese Education Conference (CEC). CEC is our most prominent event of the year, drawing together a national audience of 400+ educators. As the lead on this event, you will be responsible for logistical planning and implementation, marketing initiatives surrounding the conference, customer interaction (and satisfaction) , and building partnerships with sponsors and exhibitors. In addition to CEC, you will also serve as the lead in planning and executing additional workshops and training programs throughout the year, varying in length and size. Due to the start up nature of our organization, you will be asked to take on new projects that are yet to be identified. This role reports to the Director.
We are a small team of high-caliber, experienced, dedicated and competent (and fun!) people in a start-up environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to take on an important role in a fast growing market segment and help drive exceptional growth. The ideal candidate needs to be motivated, supremely organized, and have a keen focus on delivering excellent program results. In addition to program management skills, we are looking for a team member who is truly passionate about education and has prior professional experience and/or a demonstrated personal interest in Chinese language and culture. This position requires a direct interaction with K-12 Chinese language teachers. You will be expected to understand and cultivate strong relationships with this audience which will be a critical component of your success.
If you are an individual who can make great things happen wherever you go and have references that say things like 「The best I』ve ever seen. I』d hire them again in a minute」 we invite you to submit your resume!
