$25 Baby For Sale Outside Wal-Mart

A COUPLE allegedly tried to sell their six-month-old baby girl for $25 outside a Wal-Mart store.
The couple were arrested on suspicion of endangering their child and booked into jail in Salinas, California, The Californian reported.
The baby's father, 28-year-old Patrick Fousek, allegedly approached two women outside the Wal-Mart and asked if they would like to buy his baby daughter for the small sum.
"They thought he was joking," Salinas police spokesman Officer Lalo Villegas tod The Californian.
"They laughed, but he was very persistent. That』s when they knew this guy was serious."
Police said Mr Fousek and his partner Samatha Tomasini, 20, were later tracked down and arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Police said the baby has since been taken by Child Protective Services. |
