When you thank people the way you suggest, (by the way, they are all
graceful) in countries such US, Canada
or Britain, you might get different
reactions

dependeing upon what kind of people you thank for. Let's see ......

Your school buddies will think for sure you are wierd.

Your company colleagures would likely think you are sort of unnecessarily formal.

Your drinking pals wouldn't know what you are talking about.

Your university tutors probably would appreciate, especially if you are with a
British university.

Your bar tender or chain resturant waiter/waitress wouldn't wait for you to
finish your thanking before they turn around and walk away.

What I am trying to say is that unsociable English even though it's
serious and graceful wouldn't get you very far.
