Bitter Curse

One day as I sat musing,
Sad and lonely,
And without a friend,
A voice came to me,
From out of the gloom.
Saying," Cheer up, things could be worse!"
So, I cheered up,
And, sure enough,
Things got worse.

I say,
Sometimes it does look like things get worse when you do the right thing.
It's just temporary.
Sometimes it's like medicine.
It's bitter and often the curse seem bad, but it's working.
