That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.
小時候夏天晚上與父親在街上簡單的散步，對我長大后竟有奇妙的影響。

這句話內容太多，很難用8個字表達清楚，所以作了簡單化處理。當然，整篇基本上都是意譯，看到時候一定要與原文一起品味。

「童真父愛，唯長方識。「

獻醜了。

我來做那個說皇帝身上沒穿衣服的小孩。

坦率地說：你翻譯得真的不咋的。

抱歉。我只不過實話實說。決不是要故意跟你過不去。

父愛融融，唯長方識

何必要固執於四個字的形式呢？

把真意翻譯出來更重要。

我也沒說咋的，所以歡迎拍磚。你要是有哪句話有更好的翻譯就更好了。

我沒那個興緻。原文有些說得不錯，有些也不怎麼樣。

請大家再想想，我文采不好，只是提出想法

翻譯得感覺有一點點不和意的， 沒完全表達句中含義

這句翻譯的最好.

"錢能通神" 基督教的神。

木兄的中文功力深厚。僅看你的四字一句就很受益。當然原句很多的字又是英文的，要在8個字里表達完整和透徹實在有點難。不過，個人覺得大家喜歡，既能欣賞他人的句子也能自己動手玩，是最重要的。翻譯的正確倒反而在其次了。本來的道理就是見仁見智的。
That being kind is more important than being right.
而我也可以在這裡篡改一下，變成：
That having fun is more important than having the truth.

I will let smarter people like 老七 to worry about the truth.
