Biblical Teaching on Ransom

Though ransom is not mentioned in many verses in the Bible, it is very important teaching. We should understand we should pay and be released from just. However, even we pay at best, say, of our life, it is just for a hunderd years the best.

Now Jesus paid for us the ransom and it duration of effectiveness is forever. whoever is good on math can calculate how much Jesus paid for each of us?

Therefore that we commit our life to Him our life is not only faithful, but also logical. A limited compare with unlimited, we really repay to Him nothing.

Let's try to understand these verses regarding ransom and praise our Lord.

Exodus 21:30
"If a ransom is demanded of him, then he shall give for the redemption of his life whatever is demanded of him.

Exodus 30:12
"When you take a census of the sons of Israel to number them, then each one of them shall give a ransom for himself to the LORD, when you number them, so that there will be no plague among them when you number them.

Numbers 3:46
" For the ransom of the 273 of the firstborn of the sons of Israel who are in excess beyond the Levites,

Numbers 3:48
and give the money, the ransom of those who are in excess among them, to Aaron and to his sons."

Numbers 3:49
So Moses took the ransom money from those who were in excess, beyond those ransomed by the Levites;

Numbers 3:51
Then Moses gave the ransom money to Aaron and to his sons, at the command of the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

Numbers 35:31
'Moreover, you shall not take ransom for the life of a murderer who is guilty of death, but he shall surely be put to death.

Numbers 35:32
'You shall not take ransom for him who has fled to his city of refuge, that he may return to live in the land before the death of the priest.

Job 33:24
Then let him be gracious to him, and say,'Deliver him from going down to the pit,I have found a ransom';

Job 36:18
"Beware that wrath does not entice you to scoffing;And do not let the greatness of the ransom turn you aside.

Psalm 49:7
No man can by any means redeem his brotherOr give to God a ransom for him--

Oh draw near to my soul and redeem it; Ransom me because of my enemies!

Proverbs 6:35
He will not accept any ransom,Nor will he be satisfied though you give many gifts.

Proverbs 13:8
The ransom of a man's life is his wealth,But the poor hears no rebuke.

Proverbs 21:18
The wicked is a ransom for the righteous,And the treacherous is in the place of the upright.

Isaiah 43:3
"For I am the LORD your God,The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place.

Isaiah 50:2
"Why was there no man when I came?When I called, why was there none to answer?Is My hand so short that it cannot ransom?Or have I no power to deliver?Behold, I dry up the sea with My rebuke,I make the rivers a wilderness;Their fish stink for lack of waterAnd die of thirst.

Hosea 13:14
Shall I ransom them from the power of Sheol?Shall I redeem them from death? O Death, where are your thorns?O Sheol, where is your sting? Compassion will be hidden from My sight.

Matthew 20:28
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
