Recently I received many links, articles from different friends, and I also watch closely on this issue. I'm disappointed, if not angry at, by the arrogance of the "mainstream reports". I also come up with some thought
1. Shouldn't we position ourselves as the major player? Usually the dominate group don't protest, they threat, they postured as the authority, they make the judgement. The employers set rules, employees report whether they followed or not. Employers assess the performance of employees, employees PROTEST if they feel not treated fairly. We usually position ourselves as the group that obey the "international rules", shouldn't we work on mindset change? Reposition ourselves as the world leader? Export our values, export our culture, slowly but persistently work hard to become the rule maker.
2. How to reach the goal? Be richer. as an individual, be the best in the area we are good at. Be powerful. Use the existing rules to get what we need. Get into the mainstream, use their propaganda machines for our voices. Educate the mass. The example is the Jewish people in US. They have very strong influence in Capitol hill. Participate in the local, state wise, national political activities. That need money. That's why we need to get rich. Getting rich and getting famous make us to influence more people. Imagine Oprah recommend several history books on tibet in her talk show.
