Like everyone else, I'm deeply disturbed by the anti-China sentiment wide spread in the western countries. Enough was said why so. But for now let's focus on what we can do.
What concerns me most is the speech hegemony or self-imposed censorship saturated in western media. You don't hear nothing that's pro-China. What's in the mind of vast majority of Chinese all over the world is simply left out. To the people of western countries, unfortunately, they see the world, China in particular, largely from their media. Even they have willingness, they have no source to see what Chinese are thinking.
I own two domain names, comeseechina dot com and comeseetibet dot com, which I registered years ago but never put into active use. Now I figured they may be nice internet destinations where civilian voice from Chinese all over the world come together, and in western languages. It may also be a forum for candid exchange of opinions with western audience.
All suggestions are welcome to this end! |
