well, Louisiana's cops and public servants are known for corruptions and violence. the one of promises of the new governor is to curb corruptions and police brutality.
once i was in New Orleans with my friends. one of them was a russian and he was drunk (well, who doesn't when you are in new orleans?) that night. one cop approched us and asked him some questions (we were bystanders for a street fighting). he made a big mistake and said "none of my f*king business". the cop was pissied and wanted to charge him for intoxicated in public; of course arrested him. yes he did resist the arrest and so that was what happened, he was beat up by the cops and thrown in jail for that night. cops even knocked one of his teeth off.
well, cops in New Orleans, i am not surprised at all.
yes, new orleans known for its mafias, but those cops are a part of the mafias.
