The CRH2 is one of high speed train models in China, running as China Railway High-speed (CRH). They were based on the E2-1000 Series Shinkansen design, becoming the second Shinkansen train model exported apart from the 700T series for Taiwan High Speed Rail.世界論壇網 http://www./gbindex.html
The Ministry of Railway in China ordered 60 sets of CRH2 trains from Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Japan, along with Regina-based CRH1, Velaro-based CRH3 and Pendolino-based CRH5. Each train consists of 8 sets. The first 3 sets (2001-2003) were built in Japan, the next 6 sets (2004-2009) were delivered in CKD and assembled by CSR Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock, the rest 51 sets (2010-2060) were built by Sifang through technology transfer from Japan.世界論壇網 http://www./gbindex.html
The first train was arrived at Qingdao port on March 8, 2006. These trains would have maximum operation speed 200 km/h during service, and expected to enter service from April 17, 2007, date of the sixth national railway speed-up.
