Some girl changed her name to "Hun" in my phonebook. She didn't tell me the reason. And I looked for the word in the dictionary, but she said it was not the meaning in the dictionary.
So....
Who can tell me the meaning of "Hun"?
Thanks[:443:]
It could be short for "Honey", which is a nickname people often call each other if they're very close, like BF/GF, or a parent to a child.
Sometimes older waitresses where I live will come to your table to take your order and say "What can I get you, hun?"
So if it was a girl changing her name in her boyfriend's phonebook, it means she is being cute and feeling close to him and is calling herself "Hun" to him.

(honey is sweet, like the person you love, that's why they say "honey")

Thanks a lot!!! I have fallen into love with her. But she is going to fly back to America. Maybe we all see the future, so she do not tell me the meaning of the word. The more love, the more hurt.... I will remember the happiest time in my life..........
