TD Visa for Spouse

I am a Canadian citizen and will work as an assistant
professor at a US university starting from January 2007.
I know that I can apply for a TN with no problem. But my
wife is a Chinese citizen and she is now in China. We got
married last year and she has not yet come to Canada.
How can I get her to US as soon as possible? Can she apply
for a TD visa in US Embassy in Beijing? If so, what documents
will she need? Thanks!
