瀰漫著無奈和傷感,令人心碎的歌:Terry Jacks<<seasons in the sun

Seasons In the Sun 原來是一首悲傷的法國民謠(Le Moribond) 意為("The Dying Man")垂死的人。英文歌詞由 Rod McKuen 翻譯自Jacques Brel的法語歌詞，1964年4月發表，最後由 Kingston 三重奏以單曲出版發行，但沒有成功。10年後加拿大籍歌手Terry Jacks 把它推向歌曲榜冠軍位置。

Terry Jacks 在錄製了唱片后出於偶然機會才發表。terry1972年為沙灘男孩組合工作，並錄製了這首歌，但是並沒有發表，朋友的死致使憤怒的terry製作了自己的演唱版本。一次送報紙的男孩聽到terry播放它的老專輯后非常喜歡，並要求帶一些朋友到terry家裡來聽他的專輯，他們的熱情極大的激發了terry把它發表於他的專輯中，結果這首歌以全球115，000，000銷量急速攀升到排行榜頂峰。

Jacques Brel用美好的筆調歌頌生命的多彩和絢爛，卻讓聆聽的人更加忍不住潸然淚下。

歌曲所表現的內容

在50年代的法國鄉村，有三個好朋友,兩個男孩一個女孩.他們是同一所高中的同學.兩個男孩從小一起長大.是最要好的朋友，女孩是個漂亮的女子。通常在這種故事裡,我們很容易想象發生了什麼事情，兩個男孩同時愛上了她。

其中一個男孩是那種很陽光、很樂觀、很拉風的男孩，是學校的運動明星，是很多情竇初開的少女仰慕的對象。生活對於他來說充滿的只是快樂和單純。

而另一個害羞、內斂，畫得一手好畫。早在陽光男孩和女孩相愛之前，害羞男孩已經默默的愛了女孩很久，但是沒有人知道。

這份愛被藏在心底，直到畢業后陽光男孩參軍、害羞男孩成為一名木匠，直到戰後陽光男孩返回家鄉和女孩結婚，直到婚後陽光男孩找到工作當上一名貨車司機…… 陽光男孩經常離家工作很長時間，害羞男孩打理著外婆留下的鄉村雜貨店，有太多的事情需要男人的幫忙，害羞男孩就這樣擔負起了照顧年輕的母女的責任。天長日久，大家都想象得到的事情就那樣發生了。陽光男孩樂觀的天性加上對妻子的愛、對摯友的信任使他對此茫然無知。

直到一個大雪封路的冬天，陽光男孩在出車的半夜折返家中，發現了一切……面對驟然被生命 中最重要的兩個人出賣這個難以接受的事實，陽光男孩失去控制殺死了他們。

當天深夜，陽光男孩向警察局自首，兩個月後被判一級謀殺罪名成立，於第二年初春執行死刑。

在死刑執行前的第三天，陽光男孩在獄中寫了三段話，分別寫給他最好的朋友害羞男孩、他的父親和他四歲的女 兒。在即將離開人世的時刻，他仍然將害羞男孩看作最好的、生命中最值得信賴的朋友.這個陽光男孩，叫做Jacques Brel。他寫下的這段話最初的名字叫"Le Moribund"，直譯的意思是"the dying man"。Rod McKuen將之翻譯成英語，並套上一首法語歌的旋律，這就是最初的"seasons in the sun"。

這故事到底是不是真的，不得而知。傳說，有很多歌背後都有故事，那些故事在宣傳中被講了一次又一次。我有時候會猜想，這是真的嗎？還是為了宣傳而編的？但無論如何，我們願意相信這樣的故事，有故事的歌總是讓人覺得感動，因為我們都是有故事的人。
