求助：翻譯演講稿「長治，我心中的圖畫」

侄女的一片演講稿，上初中。老師要求用英語演講。
我憋了一晚上，也沒翻出個像模像樣的來，求各位高手翻譯一下。急等著用，侄女都哭了一上午了。




長治，我心中的圖畫
各位老師，各位同學大家好！
我叫史豆豆，是長治九中的一名中學生。我出生在一個美麗的城市，她就是我的家鄉----長治。
長治坐落在山西的東南部，在太行山的懷抱中，一條美麗的濁漳河從她身邊輕輕流過，滋潤著萬物，像一顆璀璨的明珠。
上小學的時候，老師就告訴我們要熱愛自己的家鄉，告訴了我們許多家鄉的歷史。我們知道了長治是一座古城，有著兩千多年的悠久歷史。近代又有很多老一輩革命家率領八路軍建立了太行革命根據地，在中國的抗日戰爭中起到了重要的作用。
早在6000多年前，中華民族的始祖炎帝就在這裡生活,開創了華夏文明。這裡還有令人神往和耳熟能詳的神話故事，像后羿射日，精衛填海，女媧補天……原來這些從小就聽過的神話就發生在我的家鄉，這是多麼美妙的事啊！
或許你不信，來到了長治就像進了一個大花園，天是那麼的藍，草是那麼的綠，街道是那麼的乾淨，連空氣也好像是甜的，每一朵花兒都綻放著笑臉歡迎到來的客人。
去年，我的家鄉還榮獲了「CCTV2004年度中國魅力城市」的稱號，現在我在網上和別的城市的同學交流，一說到我的家鄉我都感到無比的自豪。我的家鄉在我的心中就像一幅圖畫，美麗而寧靜、厚重又熱情、處處散發著孩子般的活力。我多希望我能快快長大，學好知識和本領，把家鄉建設得更加美麗和富饒。

Chang Zhi, My Lovely Hometown

Thank you everybody here!

My name is Dou-dou. I am a student from the Ninth High-school of Chang Zhi. Chang Zhi is my hometown-- a lovely city where I was born.

My hometown is in the southeast of the province of Shanxi and is inside the mountain Taihang. There is a river called Zhuozhang that flows to pass by my hometown and irrigate the lands around. My hometown is as sweet and beautiful as a pearl glowing with moonlight.

It is the place where I was born and I love it so much. Since childhood, I have told of the stories about my hometown. It is an ancient city with a history of over two thousand years. In the first half of the last century, many respected revolutionary pioneers fought for the rise of China here in the Taihang mountains. Under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, they made great contributions to the victory of the Anti-Japanese war.

More than six thousand years ago, our great ancestor Emperor Yan lived and began the great civilizations of China here. I have heard of beautiful tales and heroic persons in the ancient times of China. I also have learned that many of the events in these folk tales took place in my hometown. One of these tales is about a hero named Houyi. He came to shoot down nine suns using his bow and arrows. Another is about a young princess who was drowned in the sea of the east. After death, she became a bird named Jingwei, and vowed to revenge by filling the sea with pebbles. And yet another is about Lady Nuwa, the legendary mother of our nation. She spent much of her lifetime to repair the skies which were broken. How rich and colorful is the history of my hometown!

What does it look like? Believe it or not, when you come to our city, Changzhi, you will find you are in a very big garden. You will see that the sky is so blue, the grass so green, and every street so clean. Even the air smells sweet. There are flowers everywhere in the city, greeting visitors.

Last year, my hometown was awarded the title of CCTV Charming City of China for 2004. It makes me proud and my friends on the Internet envious. When I close my eyes, I can see a picturesque scene in my mind. That's my hometown. It is elegant, placid, deep, yet radiant with youthfulness. I will learn more knowledge and skills in the school. I am determined to make my hometown more beautiful and prosperous. I can't wait any longer to grow up!

I have reason to believe your partners are busy with their families or at work lately and they are appreciating what you have done for the BBS. I appreciate it too. As to taking advantage of you, I dare say they』re not. To me, the best thing to go with a bad day: get through it and end it, and hope the next day would somehow be better.
