老外總結中國人常用英文名

某個老外說到他覺得中國人(特別是香港和台灣人)在取英文名字時有一種現象,這是幾個
外國朋友發現的：

　　叫 michael的通常都很自負覺得自己受到眾人歡迎,有點花痴

　　叫 gary的通常都很弱智 常做白痴的事情

　　叫 jessica的通常都很精明算的很精講話永遠都有官方說法

　　叫 ruby 的也是蠻有自信的女強人多

　　叫 vincent的通常官位都蠻大的也通常帥

　　叫 peggy的沒什　多半是名字里有個佩字

　　叫 larry 的通常長的黑黑陰陰的

　　叫jennifer的通常都很機車,嘴巴很壞

　　叫 jack 的看起來都很老實?

　　叫 dick 的很無聊和很好色

　　叫 irene 的通常都是知性美女

　　叫 claire 的甜姐兒多

　　叫 robert的通常頭都有點禿（要小心喔！）

　　叫 kenny 的通常調皮搗蛋

　　叫 catherine 的大肥人多

　　叫 anita 的通常小鼻子小眼睛

　　叫 terry 的通常有點自大

　　叫 vivian的通常都很嬌氣,身材很好不過我都叫他們「肥肥安「

Even though I behave some of the above mentioned, my name is not on the list.

i used to be a fan of them but never understood why they chose this name: http://www.purevolume.com/adelyn. click the link to listen to their songs, nice rock and indie.

I don't know any songs being played there, but I consider Adelyn most likely is a girl's name. No offense to your gender at all.

this title thread I have seem them N times... and my name is not in the list too.

baby, it was an accident. when i registered with the name, i didn't think it would be permanent. i never thought about its meaning seriously. the singer band is all male, which i have learned from a music loving colleague who has his headphones on even at work. by the time i realized the mistake, it was too late to change. that was the first real life lesson i learned that one can't change his name!

i once considered to let my wife to have this name and i would register a new one. but she didn't like it. for an unexplained reason, she chose a name i considered as a boy, though she insisted that she saw it being used for girls.

I still sense Adelyn would be she, single. No offense. There is no need for us to prove that. I care much less about your gender or gender bending than your being as a great human being, smart yet humble, active yet subdued. Don't ever lose those qualities.

Well, better keep this cute name as we are getting used......

some names could be both for males and females. like my son-Jackie, could be a girl name, isn't it? Adelyn-愛得莉,for girl, Adelyn-艾德利, for boy! so it doesn't matter much, because name is just a code! for me, the gender is not very important, Adelyn, if you tell me you a Lady, which won't surprise me!  Adelyn, you are my good friend, whichever sex you are! it doesn't make any differences. For sure, if you a male, maybe there is a different feeling, if you a female, then there is a variable  feeling in it? can you understand me?
