The Smile of an Angel



When we first met ChunYa, we were all taken by her beautiful smile and gentle spirit. Chun Ya has KTS syndrome, a rare but serious genetic condition where her body』s lymphatic system doesn』t work properly. Because of this, her left leg has serious swelling and she has true discomfort. But the aunties all say that whenever Chun Ya is with another person, she forgets all of her troubles and just loves living in the moment. Many of us at LWB have been able to experience the joy that comes from being in Chun Ya』s presence. She giggles and grins and plays peek a boo, and tries her best to not let her leg slow her down.

We are working in partnership with her orphanage to find the best medical treatment for her. We are not sure at this time if that will be in the US or in China. We are all hopeful that there is a family somewhere who will look beyond her medical needs and say 「THIS is the child of my dreams」. We know you will join us in that hope!
