Just over a week ago, we launched a campaign to thank Prime Minister Scott Morrison for speaking out in defence of parental rights.

在我們上次電郵之後，莫里森先生就支持信仰自由也發表了一些令人鼓舞的評論。

這是在教會團體和其他組織的呼籲下，莫里森先生首次表示要通過法律保護宗教自由，沒有理會某些人發起的阻止他們所謂的「宗教需求特權」的運動。

Since our last email, Mr Morrison has also made some encouraging comments in favour of religious freedom.

「I』ll be taking a proactive approach when it comes to ensuring that peoples』 religious freedoms are protected,」 he told Fairfax Media.

「At the end of the day, if you』re not free to believe in your own faith, well, you』re not free.」

The comments are the first sign Mr Morrison will act on calls from church groups and others to enshrine religious freedom in the law, despite a campaign from others to stop what they call 「discriminatory religious demands」.
