If you are just a visitor, you can use your valid national license to rend a car. But you can't drive a car if you stay there for more than 3 months. At least that is the case in NY. Dont know the rules in the place that you are going to.
Hi, I used my ChinA license to rent a car in California during my last visit in 2002.
The only differrence is that you have buy full insurance. It is very expensive: i.e. the Buick V6 cost $35 per day, but the insurance is $40 plus per day. If you have local license, the insurance will be much much cheaper.
sounds good. never heard of that high insurance rate. But you had a pretty good rate for renting a car, which can't be found in tristates area.
